Apothica, You've Earned A New Customer

I first found out about Apothica from one of my favorite blogs, Phyrra.net. The first time I saw it, I ultimately decided not to make a purchase because the discounts weren't quite as steep as I would like, and frankly, I'm generally skeptical about making purchases from online retailers that I'm not personally familiar with.

Recently, however, I purchased some very glittery mineral shadows (reviews coming up!) and discovered that I'd probably need a glitter adhesive cosmetic product. Since the fabled Pixie Epoxy isn't easily available at present, I decided to go with Too Faced Glitter Glue. While browsing Phyrra's blog, my eye fell upon a coupon code in the sidebar that said Apothica.com had a 20% off sale going on for the month of March. Lo and behold, they sold Too Faced Glitter Glue.

I've also wanted the Too Faced Teddy Bear Hair brushes forever. I just never got around to buying them because of a) the price and b) the fact that I know Sephora has a 20% off Friends and Family sale annually. Basically, I always plan on buying them, but because there are always so many other things that I want, brushes wind up taking a back seat. This time, though, I just decided to stick them in the cart as well. My total qualified for free shipping (their limit for that is $49).

Here's the part that really impresses me: I placed the order on the thirtieth, it went out the same day, and I received it yesterday. Two days, and that was with the free shipping that they offer with purchase (it was sent via USPS Priority Mail).

I have to say, one of the things I like least about online shopping is the waiting, so I love when companies send everything out really quickly.

My grand total for:
  • Too Faced's Glitter Glue ($18)
  • Too Faced's Kabuki ($32)
  • Too Faced's Teddy Bear Hair Brush Set ($65)
  • Ultra fast shipping
Was only $92. And the invoice came with a 10% off coupon code on it!

Apothica also offers 5% cash back in Loyalty Points, 7% cash back through ebates (referral link), and a 60-day return policy. However, a note about the last item on that list: a lot of individual items seem to be marked as non-returnable, so make sure to double check that.

On the whole, Apothica is a neat site to buy from, with a lot of discounts and cash back available (as well as a large variety of both high end and non high end products). They do things quickly, as well, and I was extremely satisfied with the purchase I made from them. Next time they have a sale, I will definitely be purchasing again.

Have any of you made a purchase from Apothica before? What did you think?

Just a note: my reviews for the listed products are upcoming, but don't expect them for a few weeks; I need some time to really test the stuff I got!
